They do that on purpose. The double lettering, the --s, the replacement of letters with numbers, and using alternate words like Diccky is their effort to get around spam filters which use key words to filter spam.

The way that works is the spam filter has a list of words to look out for, like dick, length, self-esteem, erect, etc. and then when it spots one it has a points list for each word, so dick may have 2 points, self-esteem may have a .3, length a .5, etc. Then the filter adds up the number of points and if it goes over a set limit (user configurable) it classifies it as spam. This means that if you have a friend named Dick who you refer to a lot, your mail may get classified as spam, but you can talk about the length of an object quite a bit and not get classified as spam. Most also have other points aside from words, like mail coming in from a different address than the server says it should be, or a blank name.

Any word which is slightly mispelled or altered is probably a well known filter flag.

At least thats how most spam keyword filters I've dealt with work.
