As some of you may or may not know, my bf is american. (and if you didnt know, Im canadian) when he comes here every other week or so, he LOVES to go get fast food. Why you ask? Ill explain.
Our restuarants are cleaner for one. The food is totally less greasy, and and you will never take a bite of a burger thinking that its been sitting in the heat lamp all day.
James came to the conclusion that canadian fast food workers are actually 'less lazy' then the ones the the US. I would say he was insane, but after going tot he fast food joints on his side, Im afraid he is right.
At the Wendy's by his place, did you know that the voice over the speaker in the drive through is now AUTOMATED? They dont even have to say 'May I take your order?'!
James also freaks out over the amazing customer service we canadians give. I once saw him tip a waitress $10 because she seemed genuinely happy to be serving us. No matter where you go, we are all smiles and Hi's and thank you's and have a wonderfull day's. I should know, I WORK in retail. My cheeks hurt from smiling on any givin day. Again, I thought he was crazy. Then I went into a Best Buy in Southfield MI. There were 5 people in line, and I waited almost 45 mins. to be rung through. Needless to say, after 45 mins and I was still not at the counter, I put my @#%$ down and left. The reason for the delay: 1 register open and the broad was on the phone.
Dont get me wrong, I LOVE shopping/eating in the States. You guys have a lot of really cool things. It's just most of the time, Im really not that satisfied with the service.
So Klaiters, in response to yer LOVELY special K update here is the summary.
All fast food joints are not created equal. My BK rocks. American Fast food is gross most of the time, and canadian customer service is amazing!
Disclaimer: Im only refering to the places in MI. You could live in a great place with great food and great people. Im not saying you dont.. I just refering to MY experiences! :)
