I think Broderbund is still around, but they are making like office products now. Microprose also made the very excellent X-Com.

You forgot Quest for Glory and Police Quest. Laura Bow and Gabriel Knight too. I have all the Quest games.

Well, if I listed all the sierra games, it would take pages.
I've been restoring my collection of games from diskette and I'm going to eventually stick them on CD once I get them all sorted out and working on XP. So far: Black Cauldron Conquest of Camelot Castle of Dr. Brain Donald Duck's Adventure Eco Quest 1 Eco Quest 2 Gabriel Knight Sins of the Fathers CD Heart of China Island of Dr. Brain Codename: Iceman KQ 1-6 KQ7 CD KQ: Mask of Eternity The Colonel's Bequest The Dagger of Amon Ra Conquests of the Longbow Leisure Suit Larry 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 Man Hunter: New York Man Hunter 2 Mixed-up Fairy Tales Mixed-up Mother Goose Police Quest 1-3 Police Quest: Open Season Quest For Glory 1-3 Quest for Glory 4 CD Quest for Glory 5: Dragon Fire Rise of the Dragon Space Quest 1-5 Thexder 1 Thexder 2 The Adventures of Willy Beamish Most of them work pretty well with a new VGA video driver for the AGI games. Some of them have problems with digital audio (the sound will repeat over and over and over again). The music works well in most of them though. The Incredible Machine (and sequels) don't work right on XP at all. Gabriel Knight Diskette version works ok Gabriel Knight CD version barely works with dosbox Gabriel Knight Windows works good, except you can't save the game I'm holding off on burning them until some more patches come out. |

Heh, I have both the 24, I think 24, 20-24, 3.5 inch floppy version of QFG 4 and the standalone CD and the Anthology version of it.
Ahh, back when you could really tell the quality of the game by the weight of the box. |

Every 2 years or so I go to the used game store and trade in all my old stuff for a few newer ones. I actually ended up getting UO in sort of that fashion :).

OMG. Klaitu has game boxes stacked floor to ceiling in his closet. I don't think he has ever thrown one away in his life, and that's no exaggeration. He even has all his old Intellivision boxes in there, though who knows where the games themselves are. :p

Klaitu, since you're a huge Sierra On-Line fan, have you seen these sites?
www.allowe.com/Larry/8news.htm www.sierragamers.com/newMsgDisplay.asp Seems as though Sierra is still around, ain't what it used to be, and is developing a new Leisure Suit Larry game without the original design lead... I was reading about this a few months ago and thought I'd pass it along since you knocked something loose in my memory banks. Al Lowe is a pretty funny guy, while you're at his site you should check out some of his humor :). |

Heh, Sierra won't be doing any good games without Yosimite Studios. Sierra is still around, but they aren't Sierra.
